Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 30, 2026
Apex Interactive Games wants you to enjoy our games with confidence. This Privacy Policy explains—in plain language—what information we handle, what we deliberately avoid collecting, and how our practices may change if we add features such as optional purchases or advertising. Today, we do not collect personal data from you through our games. We designed our products so gameplay stays on your device and you are not required to create an account.
1. Who we are
“Apex Interactive Games,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to the independent game studio that develops and publishes our titles, including Pocket Game Arcade and other games listed on our website. We are the data controller for information described in this policy when you use our website or contact us directly.
When you download our apps through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or similar platforms, those stores are separate companies with their own privacy policies. Purchases, refunds, and platform account data are handled by the store—not by us—unless this policy says otherwise.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- Our mobile games and apps (including updates and in-app content);
- Our website and any contact forms or email you send to us;
- Future games and services we publish under the Apex Interactive Games name, unless a separate policy is provided for a specific title.
This policy does not cover third-party websites, app stores, payment processors, or ad networks that have their own privacy practices. Where we link to those services, we encourage you to read their policies as well.
3. Quick summary
- No accounts required. You can play without signing up or giving us your name or email inside our games.
- No sale of personal information. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to data brokers or marketers.
- Gameplay stays local. Scores, progress, and settings are stored on your device, not on our servers.
- No ads or purchase tracking today. Our current releases do not include third-party advertising SDKs or in-app purchase systems that collect personal data on our behalf.
- Future features will be disclosed. If we add optional payments or ads, we will update this policy and, where required, App Store privacy labels before those features go live.
4. Our commitment: no personal data collection (current practice)
As of the date at the top of this page, we do not collect personal data through our games. “Personal data” (also called “personal information”) means information that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you—such as your real name, email address, phone number, home address, government ID, precise location, or online account credentials.
Specifically, our games currently do not:
- Require registration, login, or a player profile;
- Ask for your name, email, age, or contact details inside the app;
- Access your contacts, photo library, microphone, camera, calendar, or health data;
- Collect precise GPS or continuous location data;
- Use advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking or targeted ads;
- Embed third-party analytics or social SDKs that report your activity to us or advertisers;
- Upload your gameplay history to Apex Interactive Games servers.
We built our games this way on purpose: so you can play casually, offline when possible, and without handing over personal information to enjoy the experience.
5. On-device game data
To save your progress, our apps may store information only on your device using technologies such as local storage or similar on-device caches. Examples include:
- High scores and local leaderboards;
- Game level, XP, coins, streaks, and settings;
- Preferences such as theme or last-selected game;
- Trivia history used to avoid repeating the same questions (stored locally).
This information is not personal data when it remains on your device and is not tied to your identity. We do not receive it unless you voluntarily send it to us (for example, in a support email). You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app’s data in your device settings.
Important: If you back up your device to iCloud, Google Drive, or another cloud backup service, that backup may include app data according to the platform’s rules. That backup is controlled by you and the platform provider, not by Apex Interactive Games.
5.1 Trivia Stream and internet use
One optional feature—Trivia Stream in Pocket Game Arcade—may connect to the public quiz service Open Trivia DB (opentdb.com) to download question text. Those requests are made to fetch questions only. We do not send your name, email, Apple ID, advertising ID, or other personal identifiers with those requests.
Open Trivia DB may see standard technical information any web server receives (such as IP address and request timing) under its own policies. Trivia content is provided under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license; attribution is shown in the app. All other games in Pocket Game Arcade are designed to work without an internet connection after the app is installed.
6. Website and when you contact us
6.1 Our website
Our studio website is primarily informational (game catalog, studio information, contact). We do not operate user accounts on the website. We do not intentionally use invasive tracking cookies for advertising on this site.
Like most websites, our host or CDN may process limited technical logs (for example, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps) for security and reliability. We use that information only to operate and protect the site, not to build advertising profiles about you.
6.2 When you email us or use contact options
If you choose to contact us—through our contact form (which opens your email app), by email, or otherwise—you voluntarily provide information such as your name, email address, and message content. We use that information only to:
- Respond to your question or request;
- Provide customer or business support you asked for;
- Maintain ordinary business records related to that conversation.
We do not use support emails for unrelated marketing unless you clearly opt in and applicable law allows it.
7. Third-party services
Depending on how you use our products, these third parties may be involved:
- Apple / Google (app stores): Distribution, updates, and (if you make a future purchase) payment processing. We do not receive your full payment card number from them.
- Open Trivia DB: Optional trivia questions, as described above.
- Email providers: Delivery of messages you send to us.
- Website hosting: Serving our public pages securely.
We select partners with care and require them to handle data only for legitimate service purposes. If we add new third-party services that affect your privacy, we will update this policy.
8. Future: in-app purchases and payments
We may later offer optional paid features—for example, removing ads, unlocking cosmetic content, or purchasing virtual items that have no real-world cash value. If we do:
- Payments are processed by the app store (Apple App Store, Google Play, etc.). You will complete purchases using your existing store account. We typically receive only transaction confirmations, product identifiers, and limited metadata needed to deliver what you bought—not your full card number.
- We still do not need a separate Apex account unless we clearly introduce one in the future and explain it here.
- Refunds are handled according to the store’s refund policies (for example, Apple’s report-a-problem process). Contact the store first for purchase issues; we will help where we can.
- Virtual items have no monetary value outside the game, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be changed or discontinued as part of game updates.
Introducing payments will not change our core principle of avoiding unnecessary personal data collection. We will not ask for more personal information than is required to support purchases through the platform.
9. Future: advertising
We may later show advertisements in some games or versions (for example, banner or rewarded video ads) to support free play. If we introduce ads, we commit to the following transparency:
- We will update this Privacy Policy and app store privacy disclosures before ads go live.
- We will prefer privacy-respecting ad partners and configurations allowed by Apple and Google (including limitations on tracking where platform rules require user consent).
- Ad partners may use device identifiers or similar technical data to measure ad delivery, prevent fraud, and limit how often you see an ad. That processing is governed by the ad network’s policy as well as ours.
- Where the platform provides it, you may be able to limit ad tracking in your device settings (for example, “Limit Ad Tracking” on iOS or advertising settings on Android).
- We will not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
- We will avoid advertising categories that are inappropriate for our audience (for example, alcohol, gambling, or adult content in family-friendly titles), subject to ad network controls.
If a future version offers a paid ad-free option, we will describe that clearly in the app and store listing.
10. Future: analytics and product improvement
We may later use aggregated or anonymized analytics to understand crashes, performance, and which features players enjoy—so we can fix bugs and improve games. If we do:
- We will use the minimum data necessary (for example, crash logs, app version, device model, and coarse event counts).
- We will not use analytics to build a marketing profile sold to third parties.
- Where analytics could involve personal data under local law, we will disclose it in this policy and in app store privacy labels.
Today, our games do not include third-party analytics SDKs that report your activity to us.
11. Children and families
Our games are intended for a general audience and are suitable for players of many ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our games.
Because we do not require accounts and do not collect personal data in-game, there is no child registration process. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information by email (for example, in a support message), please contact us and we will delete that information from our records, subject to legal retention obligations.
Parents should supervise younger children’s use of the internet and app stores. Platform parental controls (Screen Time, Family Link, purchase approvals, etc.) can help manage downloads and spending.
12. Your choices and controls
You remain in control. Depending on your situation, you can:
- Play without sharing personal data—no account is required in our current games.
- Delete on-device progress by uninstalling the app or clearing storage for the app in device settings.
- Play offline for all games except optional Trivia Stream (and except any future online-only modes we would clearly label).
- Limit ad tracking in device settings if we introduce ads in the future.
- Decline optional purchases—all paid features we may add will be optional unless clearly stated otherwise at purchase time.
- Contact us to ask questions, request access to information you sent us, or request deletion of support correspondence.
13. How long we keep information
- On-device game data: Kept on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. We do not hold a copy on our servers in our current design.
- Support emails: Kept only as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable business, tax, or legal record-keeping, then deleted or anonymized where possible.
- Website logs: Retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, according to our hosting provider’s practices.
- Future purchase records: Retained as required by app store rules, tax law, and fraud prevention, typically through platform reports rather than direct storage of payment card data by us.
14. Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information we handle—especially email you send us. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk.
Data stored only on your device is protected by your device passcode, biometrics, and operating system security. Please keep your device updated and do not share your unlock credentials with others.
If we become aware of a security incident that affects personal information we hold, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by applicable law.
15. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection to certain processing. Because our games currently do not collect personal data, many of these rights apply mainly to information you voluntarily send us (such as support email).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those laws define those terms. If our practices change, we will update this policy and honor applicable opt-out rights.
EEA/UK (GDPR): Our legal basis for handling support inquiries is typically legitimate interests (responding to you) or consent (when you contact us). If we introduce features that process personal data, we will identify the appropriate legal basis and your rights at that time.
To exercise rights, email us at apexinteractivegames@outlook.com. We may need to verify your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
16. International users
Apex Interactive Games is based in the United States. If you use our services from another country, information you send us (such as email) may be processed in the United States or where our service providers operate. Laws in your country may differ from U.S. laws; by using our services, you understand that your information may be transferred to jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of protection as your home country, subject to applicable safeguards where required.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when we release new games, add features (such as ads or purchases), or when laws change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate (for example, an in-app notice or store listing update) before the change takes effect.
Continued use of our games or website after an update means you accept the revised policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the affected service and contact us with any concerns.
